A very good friend of mine sold Mary Kay. She sold me their eye make-up remover at cost. It works really well. Again, it’s cost a little more than I want to pay.
I recently discovered a new eye make-up remover that is more affordable and works really well. I love the Sonia Kashuk remover from Target and it’s only $9.99! It’s a little more than you might expect to pay for drug store eye make-up remover but it’s a lot cheaper than Lancome.
What brand of eye make-up remover do y'all use?
I use water based eye make-up, so I usually just take a wet cotton ball and wipe it off! Then I wash with soap, etc. But I have also used Clinique - works well for me and I have rather sensitive eyes! It's not expensive!

I am eager to hear the answers, b/c I need to find something gentle but effective. I like Loreal's Revitalift cream cleanser all over my face and I use it with a cotton ball to get off eye shadow. But I don't like to put anything right up on my eyes. I usually wait until morning and get the smears off with baby oil. There has to be a better way!

ReplyDeleteI've been using Avon eye make-up remover for YEARS! I love it. It is more of a lotion base so there is a moisturizer in it. I'm not sure the exact cost as it is usually on sale...buy one get one half off or free, etc. I'd say around $4.99 maybe? I wear black and it works good! Not greasy or burning.

ReplyDeleteI have very sensitive eyes and tend to get eczema on my eyelids. I also wear contacts. I have been using forever, Pond's eye make-up remover. Its gentle and great for sensitive skin.
ReplyDeleteSadly, my eye makeup is usually all worn off by the end of the day so I normally just use my normal face wash to remove the leftovers.
ReplyDeleteHowever, a friend of mine swears by Neutrogena eye makeup remover. It can be found in most drugstores and I'm sure isn't terribly expensive.
I use Mary Kay but in a pinch I use vasoline with a q-tip. It is great for getting eyeliner off. I'm going to have to try that Target brand. :)
ReplyDeleteI use Clinique because I think it's a fair compromise between my true favorite (Lancome) and the less expensive drug store brands that seem to irritate my skin.
ReplyDeleteClinique eye makeup remover costs $16.50, but it lasts me a long time. I wear all-natural makeup, so a little bit of remover goes a long way.
Thank you for the Sonia Kashuk suggestion. I use her makeup brushes so I'll have to give her makeup remover a try when I run out of my Clinique stockpile.
I use Clinique and it seems to last a long time. Also, most of my eye makeup washes off with warm water. The Mary Kay is pretty good too.
ReplyDeleteI have used Maybelline for years. I switched to Almay and I think it is too drying. I also have seborrheic dermatitis, besides my mom and grandpa, i've never met another girl my age who has to suffer through it like me. Just want you to know you aren't alone! It can be so annoying and hard to manage at times!
ReplyDeleteI've been using Clinique eye makeup remover and it works pretty well. You have some great suggestions that I might try once mine runs out. I'll probably opt for the one at Target and see how it works for me.
ReplyDeleteMine actually just comes off when I clean my face, but if I need extra I use the Mary Kay remover you mentioned. My sis used to sell it and gave it to me for free!
ReplyDeleteI like to use the Almay eye pads...oilfree b/c the oil gets in my eyes a bit. They are inexpensive and do a good job.
ReplyDeleteI love the S.K. products at Target, though I've never tried the eye mu remover. Then again, I wash my face with softsoap (and take my eye make-up off with it too)...so what do I know? ha!
ReplyDeleteI use the Bobbi Brown remover, but I am definately going to Target's to check out the S.K. product. I'll save when I can, and if it works, that's even better!

ReplyDeleteI have used Lancome's in the past and really liked it. I just started using L'occitane Fresh Face Water and I love it. It's not oily. It's meant to be a toner but it removes eye makeup too.

thanks for the rec - i will check that out. i haven't tried lancome's but I do like mary kay's eye makeup remover. i use clinique's purple eye makeup remover. i get it from a makeup outlet for about $12 so it isn't too terribly bad.
ReplyDeletethis might aggravate your skin, but you could use olive or jojoba oil to remove your eye makeup. i've done that in a pinch.
