This is the first year I've had a Christmas tree taller than 4 feet. In the past I've put up so many Christmas trees for mall display windows in October and November, by the time December comes around I'm done with Christmas decorating.
I decided to purchase a 7.5 foot tree this year. It's fake. I'm not sure I can handle a real tree. When I was a kid we purchased real trees. On 2 occasions our real trees came with a free gift, a lizard. Yep, a disgusting reptile in the HOUSE. When my mom saw the lizard she screamed as loud as she could and we ran. My dad did something to get rid of the lizard. I have no idea what he actually did and I don't want to know. So I have a fake tree and I really like the idea of not having to buy another one next year. Luckily, this tree did not come with a free gift. ;)

A Few of my Favorite Ornaments
The Pink Tree is in my bedroom. I call it the "personality tree." The pink tree displays all my fun, funky ornaments.
Dining Room Table
The pink Santa is a vintage chenille fabric wine bottle cover. I found it in Nashville at the Christmas Market. I'm kinda obsessed with vintage chenille.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your pink tree especially with the sunglasses on it!
ReplyDeleteA lizard…eek! I keep forgetting that you live in Texas and it makes sense that something like that would happen. There is nothing wrong with a fake tree and I think your tree looks so pretty! I love all of the pretty pink ornaments. I’ve been searching for a pink santa ornament like the one you have and never seem to find anything like that. It is really cute. The stockings with the brooches are so pretty! I also love the feather trees on the dining room table. You have great taste :)
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful, and LOVE all the decorations!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour decor is so stinkin' cute! I like the idea of pink instead of the traditional stuff. Job well done =)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your decorations! You're always so creative. And I'm so glad you had great time in NY. I would kill to be able to go to NY at Christmas time.... maybe one day.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - My nephew could give you one of his free gifts if you want, ha.
You did such a great job decorating! I love the topper for your main tree -- did you make that?
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so good!
ReplyDeleteYour trip to NY looked like so much fun :) I love the pink Christmas too! So fun. I thought I wanted a real tree until I helped my sister put theirs up. I was covered in sap and red pricks from the needles - I'm thinking I'll stick to fake for now!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely ADORE your Christmas decorations! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your girly-girl PINK Christmas...How fun is that?!?! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously...you had lizards in your Christmas trees?! Wow...that's something we've never had to give a second thought to up here in the north... I don't think we even brought a bug in with ours...it's just to chilly up here! :) We only got about 4-6 inches of snow here...but there were other parts of the state within close driving range that got a ton more. We're actually glad to have it... December always feels more like Christmas when it's white up around here!! :)
Glad to be back... I've missed you, too!!
Have a blessed Christmas Season!!!
Love,
Tanya

ReplyDeleteLord have mercy, we found a lizard in the house the other day and I'm sure it came in with one of our trees! Love all your ornaments and love the "Pink Personality Tree." I found my ribbon display rack at Ampelco Ribbon Company, 800.780.5830, www.Ampelco.com. They offer two sizes in an oak stain finish...I spray painted my black.
