On day 3 of our trip it was raining, so we adjusted our plans and did activities inside. We attended the Martha Stewart Holiday Craft Show. It was held at Martha's corporate office and this was the first year it was open to the public. We were very excited. There were lots of booths with homemade items for sale, demonstrations, ideas and samples.
Standing in front of Martha's Nautical Christmas Tree. Of course, I thought of Kate.
We got to make Christmas gift tags, using Martha's supplies and tools sold at Michael's.
After the Craft Show we headed to Macy's and Bloomingdale's for lunch and shopping.
We had lunch at the Macy's Cellar. Salad + Wine + a Slice of Cheese Pizza= $50! Only in New York! That lunch would have cost $20 in San Antonio, $30 in Houston, $7 in Beijing, $38 in Los Angeles, okay I'll stop now. I'm really hyper and A.D.D right now.
Maria purchased her first pair of Tory Burch Reva Flats
And a ton of other things....
When we left Bloomingdale's it was snowing, which is really exciting& magical for Texas girls

That night we had dinner at Craftbar, a Tom Colicchio concept (Top Chef Host). It was delicious, especially the Risotto Balls and Pecorino Fondue. We highly recommend it. ;)
Looks like so much fun, esp. the Martha show...I would have loved that! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a blast! What do you use to collage your pictures together?
ReplyDeleteEverything you did in New York looks like so much fun! I'm sure the Martha Stewart craft show was awesome. And I'd love to try a Tom Colicchio restaurant someday. Although, I can't even imagine having to live in NYC, and having to pay New York prices daily
ReplyDeletefun, fun, fun! thank you for sharing the pics!! :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow! $50 bucks for a slice of pizza, salad, and small bottle of wine! That's crazy...I'm so frugal it would have killed me to pay that. That's how I felt when I stayed at a resort in Hawaii. I was staying at a 5 star resort in Kahala and everything was crazy expensive. I guess I'm more Mexican Riveria than Kahala, LOL...
ReplyDeleteLooks like y'all had fun. I would have been excited to see the snow too. However, it did snow in Houston while you were in NYC. It was fun! I felt like I was 5 yrs. old again.
I am due to fly into New York in a few days.. your photos make me want to hop on a plane now! I love New York, especially around the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteAww New York, how wonderful! I had a blast when I went right before Christmas and seeing the pictures you've posted makes my heart ache to go back. What a fun city!
ReplyDeleteOh hooray! I definitely want to go to Martha's craft show next year! I do love NYC...it's been way too long since I've been there. One of my best friends from high school lives there and turns 30 next month, so maybe I need to plan a trip up! Plus, with the Chinatown buses between DC and NYC, a round trip ticket is only $35!
ReplyDeleteOh that looks amazing--Im jealous! Love your blog--hope you dont mind if I follow!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow -- $50 is overpriced a bit!!! But with girls and on vacation, why not!!
ReplyDeletelook like it was so much fun! i would love to go to martha'a show!
ReplyDeleteso cool!
$50 omg...that is a lot! i think it's so funny you listed all of the other places you have been and how much it would have cost! so neat you have had the opportunity to travel so much!
That looks like such a fun trip! I always love seeing your outfits. :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'm so jealous!!! Love, love, love NYC.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the perfect day! Perfect timing for you all with the Martha show.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip!! I would love to take a trip like that with my girlfriends! I'm hoping that at some point we'll be able to do something like that together. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had so much fun!! That restaurant sounds delicious too! :)
ReplyDeleteYour trip to NYC looks wonderful! I always love reading about travel adventures. Those Tory Burch flats are adorable!
