How old are you? 34

Do you ever come to Oklahoma? Can we go to dinner if you do? We have an employee in OK so I don’t get to work in OK often. I have been a few times and YES, I would love to have dinner. If you’re ever in San Antonio, let me know. I’d love to meet you and I’ll bring cupcakes.

What is your favorite beauty product? Lancôme mascara! I have blonde eyelashes and I swear by Lancôme mascara. At my first job right out of college, I had a lovely salary in the low 20’s. I’m not joking. It was hard but I made it work. I lived on the outskirts of town, I didn’t have cable, eating out was a treat, and my grandmaw bought my 12 packs of diet coke. However, I always made room in my budget for Lancôme mascara.

Petunia:

What are your favorite skincare products? I was diagnosed with a form of eczema called Seborrheic Dermatitis (SD) on my face about 6 years ago. I use skin care products from my dermatologist to prevent SD and keep it under control when I’m in a break out. I have several cleansers that are prescription, which is really nice because insurance covers most of the cost. I like M.D. Forte products. They’re sold in the doctor’s office and unfortunately, insurance doesn’t help. I do get to pick my eye make-up remover. I like Lancôme’s eye make-up remover but it’s a little expensive. I tried Sonia Kushuk’s eye make-up remover from Target for about $10 and it’s my new favorite.

What are your favorite shampoo and conditioner? I’m not loyal to one shampoo or conditioner. I really like the Bed Head products. My favorite shampoo and conditioner is the Dumb Blonde and Moisture Maniac . A couple of years ago I bought a Chi flat iron. I love the way it makes my hair look and feel but it has damaged my hair. My hair stylist (he’s in San Antonio, so excited) recommended Kenra conditioner. He sells it to me at cost which is great. If I’m out of Kenra or Bed Head isn’t on sale, I just pick up whatever is on sale at Target.

Are you excited about moving to San Antonio? Yes, but I’ve had a few moments.

Are you packed? Since I’m traveling every week, packing is a challenge. I’ve made a schedule and every weekend I pack a room. I’ve packed the dining room, kitchen, living room, and butler’s pantry. I still have to pack my bedroom, the bathroom, and the office/closet. Not fun.

What is the first thing you’ll do as a resident of San Antone (besides unpack)? I’ll probably call a few of the girls I know and try to meet up for happy hour.

What is your favorite Bible verse? It’s hard to pick just one. Here’s a few of my favorites...

What is your most favorite (fiction) book of all times? The Nanny Diaries. The book was great the movie was terrible.



Woman Interrupted:

What business are you in? I’m a regional trainer for K*dak, which can mean something different everyday of the week. I was hired to train retail staff how to use photo equipment and selling techniques. However, the job has changed over the years. I still do a lot of training but I also install, program, and network computers and kiosks. There are only 50 regional trainers in the company so we travel quite a bit.

How did you get into it? I wish I had a good story but I don’t, I knew someone. A friend from college introduced me to her sister-in-law who worked for K*dak. Her sister-in-law helped me get an interview. I went through 4 interviews, I think they were scared to hire me b/c I was young. I’ll never forget the night before the “you’re hired or we went with somebody else” call. I was so nervous and I couldn’t sleep. I think I prayed all night.

  4. Jill, you must be a vampire because you don't look a day over 25 ;) Thanks for the mascara recommendation. I have lighter lashes and need a really dark color. I'll also have to try those bed head products!

  9. Hey Jill! Thanks for your comment on my photos and blog post! The little bucket that says "For the Guests of Mr & Mrs Harvey" were Bathroom Buckets. It had tissues and mints and bobby pins and hairspray and things like that. It was fun! The "Share Your Photos" was one of those photo websites that I set up. It had the web address and the username and password, so people could login and upload their photos. It was so much fun!! And we got some great photos!

    Not that 34 is so old, but I seriously thought that you were in your 20's.
    You cracked me up with plan "M"!
    When my Mom brought me to college I wouldn't stay in the dorm. I stayed in her hotel room with her and was petrified when she left to have to go sleep in my dorm room. :)
