New York, New York

Of all the NYC Girl Trips, this year was my favorite. We did so many fun things, ate too much food, and took about 1000 photos. I'm not kidding about 1000 photos. We don't have a final count yet but it's close. Don't worry I won't post all the photos or be the person who loads their entire camera card to Facebook.

Friday morning we stopped by the Today Show. Leslie got to Rockefeller Plaza early and got to see the entire cast. Jenn and I were late because we love to sleep. Oh well, I did see Lester Holt and Natalie Morales. My sister made massage appointments in Chinatown. Yikes~ it was painful but I don't have a knot left in my back or shoulders.

My friend, Maria, arrived on Friday afternoon and we had lunch at Wichcraft in Bryant Park. After lunch we did some shopping and checked out the Christmas windows in a few of the department stores. NYC has the best Christmas windows!

After shopping and window gazing it was time for a cocktail at Bryant Park. Bryant Park has a great ice skating rink next to the cocktail place. I really love Bryant Park during the Christmas season.

We headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. I did bring "night outfits" so it's important to change for the night events. ;) We took the subway to Greenwich Village for dinner. We took a ton of photos while we were waiting for the subway and on the subway, very fun!

We had dinner at Perilla in Greenwich Village. Anyone a Top Chef fan? Perilla is the restaurant Season 1 winner, Harold, opened. The food was really good and the atmosphere was quaint.

After dinner we headed to the famous Magnolia Bakery for cupcakes! They were delicious! If you're planning a trip to the city, Christmas is the best time to go. I've been in the summer and fall. Christmas is always my favorite time of year to be there.

I love the name, Magnolia Bakery! You entire trip looks like a dream. I wish I could have met you at Magnolia Bakery for a chocolate cupcake. And those Christmas display windows are out of this world. Wow! Really makes it feel festive. I'm so happy that you enjoyed such a lovely trip. You and your sister are so beautiful. I love your outfits you brought with you. Very Gigi! Have a safe trip home.

I’m so glad that you had a nice time! That is so fun that you dropped by the Today Show (I watch it every morning) and went to get massages. The photos of the Christmas window displays are beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that before. Bryant Park looks like a blast and I would love to ice skate there. You ladies look so New York on the subway! It looks like you had plenty of delicious food at I love the outfit you wore to Perilla.

Those cupcakes look so good!

Yay! I'm so happy to read this because in exactly one week I too will be in NYC and cannot wait a moment longer! How did you bare the cold (I'm a southern girl who freaks when she must wear "proper" shoes that actually keep her warm verses make her look cute...the toe clevage baring ballet flat is my best friend). We're also planning a trip to Magnolia after one of our shows, yay!
