Miscellaneous

I have a few more questions to answer from my “Ask Me Anything” post but I thought I’d take a break to mention a few very important items.

Remember the Circus themed baby shower I hosted for my friend Amy? At the shower I gave each guest 2 note cards. They wrote one note to Amy and one note to her husband Joe. The notes could be anything from congratulations to advice or tips and tricks to help them with their first. Everyone gave me their note cards and I’ve been saving the cards for a surprise. The surprise finally arrived…

It's a Photo Book... I scanned each note card and used the photos from the shower to create a Photo Book for Amy and Joe. Can anyone guess which company I used to create the photo book? The first person to guess correctly will win a little surprise. If you play along and win, I’ll need your mailing address. I really love the idea of having a photo book that displays handwritten notes from each shower guest along with photos. So my friends and sister, don’t forget this idea and do it for me someday. ;)

My friend Jules at Chic & Pink informed us of something that’s just too cute. Two of my favorite things are joining forces… Hello Kitty and Wine! That’s right, Hello Kitty Wine. It’s just so cute, I might pass out. I haven’t seen the Hello Kitty Wine in the stores yet. If you find it, let me know.

Y’all know how I like to complain about hotels only having television channels for men? Well, I’ve got the ultimate example for you this week. I’m in San Diego (LOVE this city) and here’s my man channel line-up this week. Keep in mind I only have 38 channels; it’s not like home with 400+ channels.

1. ESPN
2. ESPN HD
3. ESPN 2
4. ESPN 2 HD
5. ESPN News
6. ESPN Classic
7. ESPN University
8. NFL Network
9. Speed Channel

Oh my Lanta Georgia, are you serious??? Do they really need 9 Man Channels? No Bravo, HGTV, Food Network, Style, Soap, Oxygen, or Lifetime. Could they give us girls just one channel, please? I would never get to watch my shows if it weren’t for the beautiful invention of the DVR! Maybe I should send the DVR inventor a surprise in the mail, possibly a bottle of Hello Kitty wine?

I miss my Bravo

The photo book is just too adorable and SO thoughful! She'll have that forever and be able to show it to her boys when they are older. What a neat surprise.

Jill, you did a fantastic job on the scrapbook. I love the idea! How adorable!!!

Hello Kitty wine? What?!!! I've never heard of that and I have friends in wine sales. I'm going to e-mail them now and ask them about that one. Have a safe trip back to Texas and enjoy that lovely nonhumid weather.

That photobook idea is SUCH a good one! Did you use apple? I know you can do that off of iphoto. I was going to guess shutterfly but someone already did :) But that is such a good idea, I need to remember that!

That is such a sweet thing to do for her. It looks a bit like the Blurb Book Smart books that I was thinking of making.

Well, I would have guessed correctly. Such a cute gift. Did I ever post about the one you made for me? I should do that soon :)

Hope you're having a great weekend.

I love the photo book idea! It looks awesome. That was such a good idea on your part. I will definitely have to remember that. My bridesmaids had guests write advice on marriage. I would love to scan that and make a shower photo book.

I was so excited to hear about the wine and I can wait to trak it down!

I think everyone has guessed just about every photo site out there. I was going to go with Kodak ;)

The book and the circus theme are such lovely ideas. You are so creative. I'd be reduced to tears if my friends did something this beautiful for me...sadly I don't think any of them have the technical know-how when it comes to crafts haha.

Hello Kitty wine sounds like a great idea, but I wonder if it will actually taste any good. And throwing out an idea (that it doesn't look like anyone's used yet) did you make a Blurb book?
