Questions Answered~ Part 3

The winners from my last post are Lexilooo and Miss Sweet Tea. I asked if anyone could guess where I had the photo book made and they both answered K*dak. I was planning on having one winner but they answered correctly within 4 minutes of each other and I like them both! Girls, I'll mail you a little surprise this week.

Danielle:

Three favorite girly movies? Legally Blonde, Steel Magnolias, and The Notebook

Favorite Christmas movie? The Holiday starring Cameron Diaz. I also like to watch You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle around Christmas, even though they’re not really Christmas movies.

Who is your very favorite blog designer? That would be The Design Girl.

Chic & Pink:

Besides China, where is the next best place you have been and why? Tough question, on our way back from China in 2006 we stopped in Tokyo for about a day and a half. It wasn’t enough time to see the city and experience the culture but in my short time there, I loved it. I don’t know if Tokyo really counts because I wasn’t there long enough.

So my answer would have to be, London. I really love it and would love to live there for a bit. There is never a dull moment in London; they have so many shows and cultural events. Some say the food is bad but if you go to the right places it’s good. The best risotto I’ve ever had was in London. If you visit London, just remember it’s really hard to find French Fries after 3:00 AM. One night at 3:15 AM my friend, me, and many others were knocking on the windows of Burger King asking them to sell us French Fries; they ignored us.

Biggest pet peeves? There are so many peeves; it just depends on the topic or situation. Today I’ll go with people speaking for me. I’ve actually had people tell me I wouldn’t like someone because of (fill in the blank). I’m SO opened minded to different people and cultures. I’m actually a little offended when someone tell ME I won’t like someone. Really, I’ll make that call. There's only a hand full of people I’ve met that I just don’t like. Unfortunately, a couple of these people go to my church. I know, that’s not very Christian of me. I get along and like all people (except 5) I’ve ever met. My philosophy is the more different the person, the more interesting. My very best guy friend has voted differently than me his entire life. We talk about our differences in a constructive, informative way. I completely trust and respect him. It's fun to learn from others. What would the world be like if we were all the same? Boring...

If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it? First, I would make a donation to the charities I am passionate about. I would give to my church. I might buy the duvet and duvet cover that I’ve been eyeing and waiting to go on sale. I would save the rest. I’m such a bore! Someday, I would love to sponsor a person or 2 who are interested in working in a third world country orphanage but don’t have the funds to take the trip on their own... so I would possibly sponsor someone too.

Angela:

Why is Continental your favorite airline? I prefer the cheapo Southwest - goes anywhere and they have the best deals! I try to keep the majority of my frequent flyer miles with one airline. Continental is based in Houston and they offer direct flights to most of the places I need to be... anywhere from Shreveport, LA to Seattle, WA. If you fly enough, you become an elite member and receive complimentary upgrades to first class. Continental has the youngest jet fleet in the industry and they still serve complimentary meals at meal time. It’s not the best meal in the world but that small turkey sandwich, cheese pizza, or hamburger (all served in coach) really hit the spot on long flights. The food, wine, and service in first class is the best.

I like Southwest and I do fly Southwest on occasion. In fact, I'm flying Southwest tomorrow to ABQ. I have earned free tickets on Southwest but I don’t have much use for them. On vacation, I usually go places Southwest doesn't service. I gave my last free Southwest ticket to my brother. However, I’ve used my Continental miles for places like London ($60), China ($30), and Italy ($34). I just pay the taxes. It’s a nice advantage.

I also like the "Holiday" movie. I've always wanted to visit London. I'm a huge Hercule Poirot fan and they have a Piroit tour!!! And I love tea!

Hubby and I love Southwest airline too. They do have the best prices! I just wish they flew out of Bush Int'l as well as Hobby.

Ok, I was totally kidding about the blog designer question. Did NOT expect you to post that one. :)

I love that you refer to the Holiday as the holiday starring cameron diaz.

Also, I think you are one of the nicest and least judgmental people I know. I have seen firsthand that you really are open to anyone and everyone. You love my sis (for example) yet you are SO different. Of course, she is HILARIOUS and sounds just like Whitney from the hills. She's really funny.

I think you should use some miles and come visit LA again. I had lunch with Angela today. I know you don't like when people tell you you won't like someone, but is it ok if I tell you that you'd love her? Because you would. And Kate will be back soon, too. We could have lots of fun.

Sorry this was so long.

xoxo

Hmmm, I am a huge fan of Southwest, as they have good direct flights for me to go home, but I could give Continental a chance!

Yay for being a good guesser :)

I love the Q&A! Legally Blonde is one of my favorite movies too.

I'm glad to hear how much you liked London, because that is one of the places on my list that I would love to go. I also completely agree with your pet peeve. I like to be the deciding factor on whether or not I like someone also.

I had no idea that Continental was such a good airline. The hub out of here is US Air and it is terrible.

I thought of a question - if it's too late that's ok but I was curious - Since you're a fan of J*n & K*te Plus *ight, what do you think of their situation?

You've got mail is one of my all time FAVORITE movies! I also love watching it at Christmas since it happens around that time for part of the movie. I love Meg Ryan - especially in this movie.

I think you would like Weeds, but I warn you - it is a showtime show so it gets racy. We just look away during some of the more graphic parts. This isn't in every episode, but just wanted to warn you. We rent them so it is still in there too. Let me know if you like it!

Clearly you made a Kodak book. lol. I should have read that before I answered!

And I know they don't fly a lot of places, but Jet Blue is absolutely amazing. They give you a choice of 6 or so different snacks (or as many as you want of each), and they have live direct tv to watch! If only they fly into more airports.
