Gracie Has Been Adopted!

The weekend I moved to San Antonio I received an email from New Day Foster Home informing me that Gracie had been adopted. She was adopted by a local family so the process was fast. NDFH was notified that Gracie had been matched and within days she was gone. I'm so happy for her~ Gracie has a family!

I was sponsoring Gracie for a year. Since she's home, NDFH has matched me with another baby to continue my sponsorship. Meet Sadie...

Little Sadie has Spina Bifida. She was born on April 25, 2009 and abandoned on the side of a local street on May 4, 2009. She arrived at New Day Foster Home on May 14. Currently, Sadie is waiting for surgery. She is still too young and she's not strong enough yet for the surgery. Poor baby.

oh how wonderful!! So was Gracie adopted by a family in China? That is awesome!! My dream is to work at an orphanage somewhere, maybe in Africa. I am trying to listen for God's calling but right now that is school :( sad, huh? haha, no I am not complaining. I know I am in school for education for a reason and it is probably to help the children out. Who knows. :)

So, so sweet. As you know, Polly's hand prints came in the mail and I went ahead and signed up to sponsor her on the spot :)

I am going to take a break from my blog to post about Polly soon.

Hurray for Gracie!!! And I know GOD has a big plan for Sadie as well. She was found alive, brought to people who will care for her, help her get medical attention, and find her a new home. Sadie is blessed to be in the hands of such loving/caring people. Praise God!!!

This is going to be long since I'm commenting here rather than emailing, but I wanted you to know that I got an updated photo of Polly and am doing a raffle for New Day's formula project again.

I am also going to give a free pre-made template to anyone that does a formula or child sponsorship. Carrie is posting about it on their blog as well.

My phone doesn't work. Thought it was fixed and it's still dead. Not sure if you tried to call today but it died when I lost you on the phone. Going to apple tomorrow.

Talk soon!

Oh Jill .. catching up here on your blog - I am so happy to see that you are sponsoring sweet Sadie (love her name too!). I read about her on the ND blog.
Such GREAT news about Gracie. I hope you will be able to keep up with her through her new family.
Elise (now Khloe) has been adopted too - as you know! Tanya is just the sweetest and I am so happy for her and her family. She and I have become quite close through emails and she is so kind to allow me to continue to be a part of Khloe's life :)
