Remember this blog post about the coloring book my sister made for Olivia at the Foster Home in China? Olivia got the package! I love how happy she looks in these photos. When I was in China there were days Olivia wasn't happy.

Olivia was dropped off at an orphanage at age 3 with a severe heart problem. At age 3 you know your mom and dad. Just thinking about how she must have felt hurts my heart. Olivia's heart problem was so serious that she couldn't even sit up on her own. She was sent to the Special Needs Foster Home outside of Beijing (this is the Foster Home I visited in the fall). She had a pacemaker installed. This foster home is such an amazing place. They are saving lives.

After Olivia's pacemaker was installed she had congestive heart failure and had to spend time in the hospital. Visitors were only allowed for 3-4 hours a days. Once again in her short life she was alone. Oh my goodness, I'm crying as I write this.

Please pray for Olivia and all the orphans in the world. If you're interested in sponsoring a child or donating to this amazing Foster Home, let me know. I can email you their information.

I have to tell you that yesterday Olivia was wearing her pretty new outfit in class. I told her how beautiful I thought she looked, and she smiled so cutely. Then, because of course one compliment is NEVER enough, she stood up and called my name so that I'd look at her... she pointed to her dress again and waited expectantly for the next compliment. It fits her perfectly, and she was SO happy! Thank you... Oh, and all the kids loved the candy bracelets you sent. They had them as their treat after preschool yesterday, and they wore them during lunch... taking them on and off to show everyone that they were both candy AND jewelry. It's an amazing thing! :)

I love all that you do for Olivia and Gracie! We sponsor a little boy in Ethiopia. We are only allowed to send him coloring pages (not books). We just sent a bunch of Winnie the Pooh pages...I can't wait to hear how he likes them!

I'd love the information for sponsorship. I have a little extra money coming in right now and have been saving it to put towards another sponsorship opportunity, but I hadn't found one that I liked (aside from the one I already contribute to). Yours, however, sounds wonderful and I'd love to help.

That is so precious! I've done missions work in Guatemala in orphanages, and there is something about watching their eye light up when they are given a gift!

I would love more information...
